Elder Abuse

Last month I had the privilege of chatting with Dr. Phil on Twitter, which is a social media to share information in real time.- in a 140 letters or less. Which makes long conversations impossible. It is a bit like texting on a cell phone.    While on twitter I have met some knowledgeable and high profile persons that have helped so many so I was impressed by how Social Media could help communities come together to help the frailest and vulnerable of seniors by reaching out via social media to inform and make people aware of the staggering numbers of seniors who suffer from abusive situations in their daily lives.   Not just within Orange County but nation wide.  So I asked Dr Phil if he would consider a show on Elder Abuse and he said yes, here is a clip from the Season 8 first show of Dr Phil that aired about Twitter and Care Pathways. Following is more information on Elder abuse as well as information on reporting, and numbers to call within the Orange County Calif area. It is my hope that this information will not only inform you but also empower you to always report any signs or neglect or abuse of a senior.
